Seriously, I am such a bad blogger! I have good intentions, but my follow through, well, pretty much stinks. So, let me now try to catch you all up on the last couple of MONTHS! Like I am going to be able to remember, but I will just hit the highlights and post some pics.
Let's see...big things in September...my "little" brother, Kyle, graduated from DPS Academy in Texas and is now an official Highway Patrolmen. I really feel I probably missed a calling at some point because my dad, my sister, and my 2 brothers all work for the DPS. I always joke with Jason that I would have made an excellent trooper and that I would like to go to the academy just for the "fun" of it. But in all seriousness, we are all very proud of my little bro and all his accomplishments. It is not easy to graduate..it is a grueling 6 months and hard on the troopers and their spouses...(Jenna...love you!) Way to go both of you! Jenna tagged me on some pics that ya'll may have seen of my siblings on Kyle's graduating day. Let's see..there was soccer and more soccer, pumpkin patches and more pumpkin patches....Aaron learned to ride his bike without training wheels in about 5 minutes...(why have I had those on for so long?) Abigail lost a front teeth...and then Abigial had 5 teeth pulled...yes, I said 5. Then of course, there was Halloween. We spent the night with the Helton's. This has been a little tradition since Abigail was 3 and they were in the same class at Clearview. Clearview use to put on a little carnival and we would go, but now we just head to the Helton's neighborhood and trick or treat and eat dinner together. In our neighborhood the houses are so far apart, that we are all worn out by the time we go to three houses, so their neighborhood is a lot more fun.
In November, Jason surprised me with a trip to D.C. Loved it! My mom came and watched the kids for us and we had a great little getaway. I had never been and was just in awe of this beautiful city. I love history, museums, and all that stuff so this was so much fun for me. However, I have no pictures to post, because we didn't bring a camera. I know, crazy! But, Jason thought we couldn't take it in lots of places...anyway....we will go back with the kiddos for sure!
